  My boyfriend and I went to Boone Saloon last week to meet some friends. We are both young professionals, in our late twenties, that just recently moved to town and were excited to see the Boone nightlife. To our disappointment, we were treated like eighteen year olds trying to sneak into a club with fake ids. The bouncer was extremely rude, for no reason apparent to us. Once he finally decided to let us in the place, the bartenders were equally unprofessional. I felt like an inconvenience for ordering a pitcher of beer. I've never felt such a sense of unwelcoming in my life. Both of us have worked 5+ years in the service industry and did not deserve the treatment we received. We quickly took our business elsewhere. Sadly, Boone Saloon is no longer an option for our downtown experience.

  Great Bar! Good beer selection and reasonable prices. Atmosphere was welcoming, even as visitors the bartender made us feel like a local. My girlfriend and I shared the nachos with black beans and rice and it was surprisingly good and for a small portion it gave enough for the both of us to nosh on through our night at Boone Salon. If you're in the Boone area and want to toss back a few brews, make your way to Boone Saloon.
